That said, this belts carries a special story with a message we support dearly – “Make love not war”.

This strap, unlike most of the materials in our studio, is made of cotton, and at the beginning we did not know its original purpose and could not figure out the marks it carries or the use of it. It remained a mystery to us until a random customer entered our studio one day and recognized it as a belt-fed from the 70’s or 80’s! As it turned out, it was used as a thread for carrying 0.3 machine guns of a submachine gun, and the numbers indicated how many bullets remained. So as peace activists and opponents of war, it turned to be a classic symbolic case of turning such raw material into a belt that you use to go dancing instead of fighting.

The numbers are thrown out of context and look like an original graphic design. More so when we crafted the belt with them upside down.

This handmade, strong, soft, and pleasant belt also uses Hypalon straps – a super durable recycled material from a secretive rubber boat industry – to connect the belt to the aluminum buckle.

The non-standard 30mm width aluminum buckle attached to this uniq belt, is super easy to handle thanks to its quick release mechanism.

We use super pleasant high-quality polyester sewing thread, and hand sew each belt using high-tech industrial machines.
